Behaviour therapy

Comprehensive dog behaviour therapy for complex issues, including fear, anxiety, and aggression.

Understanding is the key to building a strong bond

Our behaviour consultants focus on helping you uncover the unique blend of biological factors, individual traits, and life experiences that shape your dog’s behaviour. With this deeper understanding, we guide you in strengthening your relationship while addressing challenges such as fear, anxiety, aggression, or reactivity, creating a lasting connection built on trust and harmony.

Good dog training and behaviour modification is rooted in good science

Does your dog struggle with any of these behaviours and more?

  • Barking and lunging at other dogs

  • Cowering or avoiding cars

  • Barking or chewing when left alone

  • Growling over toys, food, or other items

  • Showing aggression towards other family pets

  • Barking at people who approach them

We specialise in helping reactive, fearful, and anxious dogs become happy, confident companions who can navigate life with ease. Our team also supports you through what can often feel like a challenging time with your dog.

From reactivity and resource guarding to separation distress, we use science-based methods grounded in dog psychology. Our approach addresses the root causes of behaviour, helping your dog overcome challenges without simply suppressing symptoms, ensuring long-term positive change for both you and your dog.

FAQs

  • The first step is a complimentary assessment to understand your dog's needs and suitability for our services. After this, an Initial Evaluation is required before scheduling any follow-up sessions. At this stage, you will receive several forms, a waiver, and scheduling options for your evaluation.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. If you're ready, sign up for an assessment to get started.

  • Many dogs with behavioural challenges feel fearful or uneasy around strangers. To set your dog up for success, it’s essential to start their training in a familiar, safe environment where they feel comfortable. Introducing a stranger, such as the trainer, too early in the process can add unnecessary stress and hinder progress.

Once your dog has built confidence and is responding well to training with you, the trainer will collaborate with you in person to continue and advance your dog’s training journey.

  • Behaviour modification requires a specialist with advanced education and expertise in canine psychology and applied behaviour analysis. Using force-free training techniques is essential for truly addressing and changing a dog’s behaviour, rather than merely suppressing it through fear or intimidation.

Our trainers hold advanced Level 3, 4, and 5 accreditations in dog training and behaviour from the UK, with a focus on anxiety and aggression cases. With our force-free approach, we equip owners with the tools and knowledge to support their dogs in a positive, effective way - without resorting to pain or fear.
